Numat Technologies and Milliken Partner to Launch Next-Gen Protective Fabrics

Numat Technologies and Milliken & Company have announced a strategic alliance to deliver next-generation protective fabrics for defense, first responders, and industrial users. By combining Milliken’s textile expertise with Numat’s Nobel Prize-winning metal-organic framework (MOF) technology, called Sentinel MOF, the collaboration promises advanced fabrics that go beyond conventional protection.
The new MOF-enabled fabrics are not only functional and reactive but also self-decontaminating. They are designed to offer high levels of protection without compromising on breathability or comfort, even in challenging and extreme environments. Importantly, these fabrics are non-PFAS and will be manufactured in the United States, reflecting the partnership’s commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing and a strong industrial base.
Looking ahead, the companies plan to expand their offerings to include advanced signature management and enhanced-concealment textiles, potentially integrating chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) protection with adaptive camouflage technologies.
